About this Mama

I started my journey to becoming an Advocate for children with additional needs in the education setting after having two children with additional needs myself. Starting the process of an IEP should be a straightforward experience for all, I learned it was not. After learning the process is not a simple task, I took an educational journey that eventually took me to Harvard to focus on legal studies with a concentration in Social Justice. Now with the knowledge I have my hope is that I can provide information and resources to all parents seeking an appropriate education for their own children with additional needs.

My Advocacy work in not limited to my clients, this blog is my tool to help all families achieve a proper public education for their children.

In the United States all children are entitled to a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE), and I believe it should be just that “Free and Appropriate”.
